Quita Ortiz is a New Mexico–based herbalist and author, and co-founder of Feather Catcher Apothecary. She formulates and writes about traditional herbal medicine with a focus on place-based/bioregional herbalism, whole-plant preparations, and more.
Her work centers on the intersection of ancient traditions with modern medicine, rooted in place, practice, and partnership — between people, plants, and land. She is a lifelong student of plants, and through her apothecary and writing, Quita shares plant medicine knowledge grounded in land-based traditions and lived practice.
